Question Rear Air Bag Mounts / Frame Powder Coating???

I'm still trying to get everything done to my 67 LWB frame before I send it away to get sandblasted and powder coated. My question is what kinds or rear air bag brackets did you guys use on your trailing arm suspension. Custom, brackets, or is there someone selling rear brackets for 67-72 trucks? Pictures would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm not sure how far to strip the chassis down before getting it powder coated. Should I remove, cab mounts, or bed mounts, any crossmembers? What do you think??

I wouldn't remove the cab mounts or anything that is riveted on. But anything that bolts on should be taken off. Why not mount everything that is going to be mounted or weld to the frame first so that the holes and/or welds get powdercoated protection? Like how a street rod would be built, build the entire thing then take it all apart. I guess it all depends on how fussy you are about things like that.

I'm being about as fussy as you were about you rear sliding window. I want everything to be done rigth, because this trucks a keeper!!

You don't need rear brackets for trailing arm applications.

Run a bolt up through the trailing arm into the bag.
Drill holes in frame for air bag studs and air inlet.

Hey I wasnt fussy about the window, I am just cheap and wanted the right one :p

I didnt exactly practice what I preached on my dads truck, we had sent it out to get powdercoated then I added things like the cruise control sensor, underbed battery box and relocated proportioning valve. All of which I had to drill holes to mount. Plus we had left the front cross member bolted on to the frame. No biggy but looking back I had wished I removed it and had it done seperalty.
