Original heater hose color

I need to replace the heater hoses in my 72. The current ones on the truck are the reddish-brown kind. Is this the original hose or were the originals black?

Two different sizes were used. 3/4 on the line going to the heater core, and 5/8 on the return IIRC.

You're right, and they were both black.
