81 blazer 2wd

i just picked this blazer up a couple weeks ago its a 81 2wd 350/th350,12bolt
it runs great im fixing it up as i drive it.

So far i lowerd it an inch in the back and like 2 inches in the front (not shown in pic)new idler arm and a stearo system and of course the usually tune up stuff.

performance mods: 2:02 heads,roller rockers,rv cam,doug thorney headers,edelbrock intake/carb,stage 2 shift kit and a rear sway bar

BowTieOgre i bought new springs for the front and took out the overload leafs in the back it rides better than stock.

Looks nice.... I have an '82 and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! I lowered mine the same way, but I used 3" springs in the front and took the overload and the bottom spring also. It really does ride better than stock.....

you will not be disappointed..... You might want to add some air shocks though.. in case you want to haul something heavy.... I tow a trailer with mine occasionally.

thats what i was going to ask u about was towing all i tow is a alum boat that weighs nothing.but i have a hitch system so i know i will eventually tow something eles.Good thing i have a set oh high jackers laying around i will swap on if i decide to tow something heavy

hey bell do u have any pics of your blazer i would like to see it.I myself think that the 81 and 82 are pretty rare caue they stoped makeing 2wds after 82 so u could onley get our style front ends for 2 years in 2wd

My digital camera is busted right now, but I will post some when I get my latest roll of film processed... I just finished body and paint. (suede black)
I'm running 20" Boss 304's with 245/75 goodyears. AND a '92 roller cam 350.
I LOVE MY TRUCK!!!
