rear gears posi ?

does anybody know what gears gm offerd in 71 for factory posi units? my build sheet just says tht, and im not yet ready to tear it apart so im just curious what was available ...thanks...jeremy

If you jack up the rear end and rotate the tire one rotation you can count how many rotations the driveshaft makes and that is the gear ratio. it will get you real close to it at least.

yea my front ends all torn down right now on stands.and i dont want to jack up the back right now. so i am just curious if anyone could tell me what was available.

the only gear ratios that I have seen were 3.73 and 3.08

If it is a '71 half ton THT would be a 3.07.
