need 69-72 drag link pic

does anyone have a picture of a pitman arm/drag link/steering link setup for a 67-72? i need one with the wheels dead straight ahead.

my truck turns really really sharp to the right, and just barelly at all to the left ...
the front is lifted approx. 2.5" and rear lifted 3" right now, about to go 4-5" front.
when the wheels are dead ahead, the pitman arm is slightly to the front of the truck. shoudlnt it be straight towards the left wheel?
i do know my left front spring bushing is bad, but i dont think its enough to cause the turning problems im having.
ill probably wait and address this once i finish lifting it, and get the new drag link ends and steering arm on.. but i still need to know how the pitman arm should be sitting

The pittman arm should be perpendicular to the frame to be centered. It should also be horizontal. If you have a lift, there should have been a raised steering arm that should have been installed.

Did you go with a raised steering arm when you added the front lift. 2.5" isn't alot but you are probably borderline in need of that to correct your steering arm. You might be able to adjust your drag link enough to get your steering centered.

the more i look at it, i think untill i can afford the extra lift im going to adjust the drag link... it seems to have enough adjusting room

i got to thinking today and reliezed that if i turned the steering lock to lock, counted the turns, and turned it back 1/2 of the counted distace (from full lock) that my steering gear should be centered... i did that and my wheels are pointed to the right about 3 inches from center
i do believe i need a new arm, my drag link angles down towards the axle a decent amount.

woo hoo! adjusted it (5 full turns in).. its still not perfect because the front left spring bushing and one drag link end being bad, but i can turn the same distance both directions now!

Does this mean you cant steer to the stopper in either direction?

You can get a pitman arm with a drop built in, or a steering arm that rises up as it curls in to meet the drag link. The drop pitman arm cost more ($89 ish from Skyjacker), but is harder to bend than the raised steer arm.

Before I spent 89 on an arm I would just start puting together a cross over steering set up.

mine has the factory big hub open-flat top knuckle dana 44

i have thought about it, but im just trying to get it on the road at the moment.. that'll come after its actually driveable

68K20-- im not really sure where the steering stops are on mine, i know if i turn fully to the left my pitman arm will hit the left leaf spring i believe that is because the axle moves back and forth when i turn... it has beat the living crap out of some kind of stopper bracket bolted to the frame behind the left spring
