Talking New guy, Just saying Hello

I have been enjoying this web site for about a year now. I finally am somewhat computer literate now. So I want to share my 1971 Blazer with you all. I bought her 1 year ago from Colorado, and she was mostly restored. She is numbers matching drive-train, CST, repainted original color, re-upholstered back to original black scroll vinyl, Tilt, tach, original stereo with one speaker underneath the dash. The funny thing is that I entered her in a car show thinking she would never win, and believe it or not she took first place in the 70s era beating Camaros and Barracudas. it was hilarious.

That's a beauty. I'd love to see more pictures! Looks like it is a complete stock resto, except for the wheels.

Welcome to the board from Seattle.

Where in Ventura was that?
I used to live in Santa Barbara.

Beauty truck BTW.

I think our trucks win because they're different. You ALWAYS see the Camaro's,Vette's and Mopars.
It's alway cool to see something different.

Three things to say...

1. Wow - nice Blazer indeed - looks better than new
2. Not surprised you won the show - if you are looking for a trophy collection - keep entering.
3. Thanks for ruining my weekend - I just 8 hours yesterday cleaning out my Blazer and it still looks dirty compared to yours -

Welcome to the board from Ohio.

The tires and the spare tire are 32" that is why it still fits on the stock tire carrier, and the truck is at stock height. As far as collecting trophies, I can care less for them, to tell you the truth. We took the Blazer to the Fathers day car show for my mother, because I tell her it is her second mothers day. That was the great thing about that day that the Blazer won. My mother got to run up there and get her picture taken with the Truck and I gave her the Trophy, for her it was great! Here are some pics of the underneath and the rear tire .

Thats a sharp K5. I like the color matching rims. You should write Classic Trucks and see if they'd want to do a spread in their mag of it. I think it looks that good.... Bet they would too...
