It's similar to this. Thanks again. Rod goes to the carb. and the other piece bolts to the intake.

Just FYI- 2bbl. and 4bbl. rotate opposite of each other. Nothing more aggravating than a choke that comes on when the engine is HOT!

That is the thermal spring for the original choke assembly used on a quadrajet, it mounts on the passenger side of the intake and hooks to the carb. Its missing the cover.
