I'm getting ready to install a rblt. long block 350 in my '69. What would be a good choice of intake for a fairly stock 350, running ram horns and a Edelbrock 1406? (600 cfm) I do know that.. I tow quite often and the low end torque would be what I'm after. I currently run a stock cast iron with an adaptor.

I have an Edelbrock 2101 on my near-stock rebuilt 350 (flattops, slight cam) with slightly modified Q-jet (larger primaries) and ramhorns. Dunno if it's the best, but it all seems to works well together. It'll be interesting to see what advice you get from those who have tried other combinations...

I really think a stock intake is good with a combo like yours but the 2101 is a GR8 choice also for just alittle bit more of a kick in the pants.

I am a fan a a stock intake with a little bit of work done to them.

I've got the same carb. on my 350, also have ram horns, the motor is bored
.030 over other than that it's basically stock. I went with the edelbrock performer intake, been running strong ever since.

All sound like good choices to me. I would make sure that you stay with a dual plane style. Dont buy a single plane intake for your application.

With the dual plane intake idea whole heartedly, to the point that even on HIGH HP applications now I build all of my engines and recommend dual plane intakes.

Only exception that I make here is on forced induction engines. I.E. nos, blower, turbo ect.

How about a Weiand Action Plus dual plane? I have ran a Weiand before with good low end torque, but then again the motor was far from stock. I can get the Weiand new in the box for less than $100.00...

The Weiand Action Plus dual plane intake would be a good choice IMO also OLDIRON69. They are a low rise, dual plane design that has a power band from idle to 6000 rpm. So that would fit your needs very nice.

Thanks Jason! I grabbed it up and gathering parts for my engine swap, just a rblt 350. I'm just after a little more ump over stock, not much. I recently installed a rblt TH350 and did away with the 3 spd manual. I'm kicking myself for not going with overdrive! Until then, have my Blazer tank,intake,motor swap and disc brakes on the short list.

I replaced my Edelbrock 1406, with the Edelbrock 1901 (maybe the wrong number)....anyway, it's their 750cfm Q-Jet. The previous Edelbrock was running rich... It has .100 main jets and they say it's for performance. The new carburetor ran so much leaner out of the box, that I had to put a heat shield on the starter. Engine runs so much better, even gets better mileage. Starting is much easier, too. I have the carb mounted on the 2101 Performer intake, too.
