Speedometer Needle

What would cause the speedometer needle to bounce? It doesn't hold a true speed. Sometimes it bounces up and down. I figured that I should just drive somewhere in the middle just to be safe.

remove your inner speedo cable clean it and lubricate it with speedo lube(a dry graphite type) reinstall and it should be goods for another 30 years
