im just curious what shocks you guys are running w/bags... i have brand new shocks from CCP that came w/my 3-4 drop kit, but i think they are too long and wont compress all the way when the truck is dumped.. anybody have a certain shock that works well.. truck has bolt in bags front/rear and bolt in notch

edit: also has cpp shock relocate kit on rear

i'm using skyjacker shocks now on my fullsize but i'm gonna switch to fox shoxks w/ a resivoir. but on the c-10 i'm gonna run belltech nitro drop's. they nice and still but still give a good ride.

i'll be running stock replacement shocks for a nissan frontier.....they are perfect for slamming your truck, and have 13in of travel for when you wanna raise your truck up all the way.

i thought all front setups were the same? my shock location didnt change. i have stock lowers and slam bags. ill measure manana i guess. i was just wondering about the nissan shocks. where do you find specs for shocks?

I used stock Gabriel HD gas shocks on the back of my 68 when it was on the road before (rear bags only). Now that I've updated everything (& added front bags), I'm using Bilsteins.

Many of our trucks utilize different set-ups so the shocks will have different requirements.

I use direct replacement Bilsteins for the stock shocks up front & built my shock brackets to center the shock @ ride height.

I used direct replacement Bilsteins for lowered 88~98 GM trucks in back. I fabricated a new upper shock bracket to mount them & also relocated the upper shock crossmember for proper shock travel @ ride height.

monroes for sure..cant beat $12 a shock considering they will go out quickly...

Why? If they're set-up properly w/the correct travel, they should live a normal service life.

no shock is designed to be push almost to its limit, held, pushed or pulled to opposite limit, held, etc.

On all the bagged cars we have all run on monroes and we get about a 6xxx miles....and yes the shock are setup "right" so that they dont over extend or collasps.

and if your system is quick you can forget about keeping shocks for long, the valves go out in them fairly fast.
