"68 p/steering help
I've got a 68 short bed with the ram assist style steering. It has been lowered with the CP lowering and disc brake kit. It has some serious slop in the steering and i've adjusted it out as much as it will go. Does anyone rebuild these gears. I need a fix and ya'lls help.

Re: "68 p/steering help
several companys rebuild them but big bucks. There is another option, one that might help both of us......I am restoring a 67 and wanted factory P/S, which you have. What I have is a complete 69/72 P/S set up.
Which would be a P/S box, pitman arm, complete center link from tie rod end to tie rod end. Would be a simple swap for you and be cheaper in parts, tie rod ends etc. Pm me if interested........I would swap straight across and each pay their own shipping, I can get a good deal thru UPS. Let me know, Thanks, Steve |

Re: "68 p/steering help
i'm just tossing this out there - but i had a good sales experience with qksilver, dealt with him in person and feel fairly confident that you shouldn't have a hard time with this one.
