does anyone use or has anyone heard of someone using this device called the "tornado". It goes into your aircleaner and is supposed to increase fuel efficiency by as much as 30% and power too.

Just wondering if it is worth the $70.

short answer "NO".. on another site they gave the numbers and formulas...dont remember the particulars, but the key, has to do with barometric pressure, and cfm movement. I hate to say it. but, I believe the only word i can think of is "scam"

i dont buy any of these kind of things. i also saw a news station test the tornado. there verdict,,,,,didnt work.

they make things like this for harleys too, its silly, doesnt work.

well I can say first hand it does not!
A friend of mine brought one over for me to put in his Honda

So I looked at this thing that looks like a coke can that has been cut and bent into a fan shape and I laugh so hard I almost choke.

I mean come on....I have seen coke cans cut better than that!
Ever see one of those coke can airplanes?hehehe.

Well anyway we went to rockingham NC just to see if it really did work.
We ran 3 runs without it and 3 runs with it one fri night with cool down in between runs all 1/4 mile runs.

He ran 16.7-16.9 without it.
He ran 17.1-17.3 with it!!!

The thing will restrict airflow plan and simple.

Now everyone rase the BS flag with me on this one

Save your $$$ man.
I wish my friend did.

I don't see how anything placed in the airway can do anything but restrict airflow.

My friend talked about buying for a long time and then he finally did. I haven't heard a word about it since, so I'm sure I know the results.

Yea I was very skeptical when a coworker of my wifes said he put one one his big block ford and he got 4-5 mpg increase.
I though first he is only getting 7 or 8 mpg and to get an increase of 50%??

I think he might be a dealer or something trying to make some sells. I probalby just spend the money on a thorough tuneup
and see better results.

I think it a scam most likely. I mean if it was so good and worked so well why wont the car manufactures use them? After all that would boost the mpg and help them meet government regulations with more ease.

No,--- but I have some nice beach front property in Kansas I'd be willing to sell to anyone who actually believes that it works.

That thing ranks right up there with the little magnents that J.C. Whitney sells to put around your fuel line.

I figured it out one time that if I bought all the little gas saving gimicks listed in their catalog, I would be getting 397 mpg and have 432% more horsepower.

IF you want an easy mod get a throttle body spacer. Basically its a hunk of aluminum with a swirl carved on the inside where the air/fuel mix goes. They work really good, My dad has one on his 99 Denali and towing a 20' enclosed car trailer on a trip where it would take a full tank of gas it now takes about 5/8's of a tank. Paid for itself in no time.
