Uneven Backpressure?

I heard that if one muffler is completely rusted out and the other is intact and good that it will or can cause uneven backpressure and score your cylinders bad...anyone know if that's true and if so what do you suggest?

Re: Uneven Backpressure?

Sounds like BS to me.
One side will run a little easier than the other, but you'll never feel it.

Re: Uneven Backpressure?

make sure the good muffler is to the side where the cops are when you pull along side at the stop light.

Re: Uneven Backpressure?

Each side of the engine exhaust is independently sealed from the other. So if the exhaust works with two equal mufflers. So should it work with two different mufflers. Like Longhorn Man said earlier. No damage Can occur.
