bleeding new wheel cylinders

Hi Guys, 1970 Chevy CST 1/2 ton....had front right brake hanging up (still has front drums) so I replaced both front wheel cylinders and hoses....Now...for the easiest part ...bleeding them...right? I can't for the life of me get a drop of brake fluid out of either wheel cylinder bleeder now....loosened hoses on wheel cylinders...fluid is apparently getting to that point because it started leeking at that connection. My neighbor gave me a hand pump (a kit for bleeding brakes single handedly) to pull fluid through...that doesn't work either? Before I rip everything apart again ...anyone have any ideas? Thanks..

Bob
