Question static drop w/20's

How low can I go using drop spindles and springs only without modding the inner fenders or tire rub issues. Wheels that are possiblly using are 20x8.5 (4.5 or5 backspacing)in the front. TIA ...Randy

Re: static drop w/20's

As low as you want. I would not do more than 3" springs 'cause it won't align. Go with at least 5.25 BS for a 8.5" wheel so that the wheel 'tucks' in a little; that will keep you from rubbing when you hit a bump.

I have done exactly this with a 255/70-15 which is the exact same as a 255/45-20 (29" tall). It could easily go another inch with no problems...
