Customizing into a 2wd Blazer info needed

Ive been wanting to build a custom 2wd Blazer for a while now, but I'm looking for the right Blazer at the right price. The type of work that I would like to do to my Blazer is something I wouldn't want to do to an original 2wd Blazer. I saw this amazing Blazer on Ebay and want to know if any one has any specs on the type of suspension work and frame work (tube work) that was done to this truck. I already talked to the guy who told me what year of corvette suspension he used. I was interested in buying this truck but I felt that he wanted a little too much money for this project truck, which was $10K and it still needs everything. If anyone has any input or information please let me know. More pictures of the work below. Also if anyone in my area has a project 70-72 Blazer for sale please let me know. Thanks

I think for $10K he is nuts, JMHO, You could buy a 4wd that was done
and if you just had to have a 2wd you could have the tube frame built
for it. Or hold out for a mostly done 2wd. Or take a 4wd and convert it
over to a 2wd like others here have done. Other peoples projects have
drawbacks, ask me how I know, and you always find STUFF that either
they didn't tell you, they didn't know about, or they didn't think of. I've
been watching that, no wonder it has not sold yet, hope this all helps?

I dont think it is worth 10g's...But you will have 10g's in one in a heartbeat...Just his corvette suspension is roughly 1500 or so...Then the fab work...I see the firwall is smoothed...Are all body panels free of rust? IF not you can spend another 2g's quick on body panels..I Would say it is worth around 6g's or so...If it is rust free...

10K seems way too high. For 10K, you could buy a decent 4wd and have the conversion done with a donor front clip and the new airride bolt on 4 link with bags. Some paint and wheels and you'd still come out cheaper than finishing that project. You also wouldn't have to guess what has been done and try to determine if it was done right.

I just posted a link in the "everywhere but here" section to a conversion in Yakima, WA (NAPA of the NW) for $1100. It doesn't have an engine, but you'd be in about the same point as that $10K project.

It might not have the prestige of corvette suspension, but it is driveable.

Thanks for the feedback fellas, and keep it comin, its all really appreciate it. The consensus so far is the truck is TOO much, which I agree with 100%. I thought that a fare price for this truck was around $5K, but when he told me $10K my jaw dropped, but what can I do. I thought, in addition to the $10K, I still had to paint it, bag it, paint the frame, interior (seats and all), drive train, misc parts, rear hatch, side glass, electrical, and so on... to do it RIGHT. He told me that he replaced the rockers a few years back (I think he said ten years ago or so), but that it does not have any rust currently. He also added that it was a previous show car that was displayed in some type of magazine (unknown which one).

Thanks Bouncytruck for the adds, I'm going to be calling the one in AZ to find out more about it. But I still want to do a custom 2wd Blazer no matter what.

There was a member that emailed me about another member that makes a cross member that bolts into these trucks/blazers that accepts the C4/5 front suspension pieces as well as a vette rear assembly. If any one has any information on this please let me know.

The price sounds good to me. When I buy, I want to get something more like the orange one posted above. Right now, we're gearing up to buy a new house next year. With the price of housing around here, I need to save every penny I can.

I called the guy numerous times ever since this post was put up, but the guy never responded. I also left messages on his mail box as well, but nothing. Too bad, because I was really interested in buying the truck, big time. The ad is no longer posted so he probably sold it, but after reading the ad, it would have been $6500K total for the truck because it said in there that his body guy wanted another $3K for the body work. I called the guy, who ended up to be a real nice car guy. The truck has its engine and tranny out of it. He also told me that both rockers, both rocker boxes, both doors, and both floor pans were rusted aout. Concidering the rust, the shipping, not being able to look at it, and the fact that he wouldnt budge on the price, I left it alone and told him that I would call him back it a couple weeks to see if he still had it. Thanks for the info guys, I tried. Heres a picture of the truck:
