Best way to dissconnect steering column?
Hello...I am getting ready to remove my cab and I need to disconnect my column from my steering box...Where is the correct way to do this??

Disconnect the rag joint is the only place I've ever done it. Be careful while pulling the cab, the bottom of the column hangs on everything.

2 bolts holding the steering columns intermediate shaft to the steering box..Or you could disconnect it at the front of the firewall by removing one bolt.Then the shaft should slide out from the column.

i've always just undone the clap at the splined end of the column and left the intermediate shft and ragjoint in place

All I did was remove the Screw at the bottom of the column just before it goes into the gearbox and loosened the gearbox on the inside of the frame a little. It was easy getting it apart. Had a blast getting it back in but it worked.
