Engine identification help
I just purchased a 1967 C10 long bed in relatively good condition for a 40 year old automobile. I cannot figure out which size L6 engine it is. I am new to this and could use some help. The casting on the block looks like "3877176". I think it is a 292. Can anyone confirm this for me?

If one motor mount is further back than the other it is a 292. If the motor mounts are even across from each other it is a 250. If the lifter side covers are about 6" tall it is a 292. 250 side covers are about 4" tall.

Check for the dress numbers stamped into the block on a machined pad just aft of the distributor.
