ECE VS. CPP Shipping Rates

I just done some shopping for a disc brake conv. kit for the 70.
*ECE was $750
*CPP was $600
I know ECE makes a very good product so I was going to order it untill I saw the shipping cost $240!!! So I checked CPP and theres was $88 for a kit that has more parts in it.(Tie rod ends, ball jts.,etc) Why is there so much difference. They are both in Cali, about the same kit, why so different. Ive bought a few smaller things from CPP, and was pleased. So now Im torn, go with CPP, or spend the extra $300 for ECE. What would you all do? How many of you have used a CPP kit?

Re: ECE VS. CPP Shipping Rates

jmking9, give them a call and ask why so much for shipping. There might be something wrong with their web site and its miscalculating the shipment price.

Re: ECE VS. CPP Shipping Rates

Yeh it is probably wrong. I bought all kinds of stuff from them - spindles etc. and it was only like $50 from Cali to Connecticut

I know for a fact that they are having trouble with their online shipping calculator. Give Stan or Terry a call and let them know that you're having problems.

Re: ECE VS. CPP Shipping Rates

I would definetly give ECE a call and find out the deal. I've ordered several things from both places and don't recall there being that much difference in shipping cost. Now on the other hand, CPP has excellent parts but everything I have ordered takes forever to get.
