BDS lift kits?

Anyone use them or have anything to say about them? I found a BDS 4" lift kit for $300 obo and was wondering if its worth that? Good ride quality? I'm ditching the current set up..The front springs on the truck now are way to flat to be a 4" lift spring,so I'm looking for an alternative if I cant get a good set and send back the others..4 springs, shocks,u bolts, raised steering arm, bushings, never used. Are they worth $300?

Re: BDS lift kits?

After seeing your truck and comparing the height of your truck now that its lifted to mine, mine (the 71) is sitting lower than yours and mine should sit the same or higher since I have bigger tires.Im thinking I dont have the right front springs.Could you check the height again, this time from the bottom of the frame to the ground,on the very back by the rear bumper, and the bottom of the front near the front bumper to the ground? I am trying to figure out what isnt right on mine.Oh,and the 69 lwb has a 4" lift,my 69 swb stepside that is long gone had a 6" suspension lift..

Re: BDS lift kits?

I would mesure from the bottom of frame to bottom of the spring pack. that would take any other diffrence like tires axle spring mounts out of the picture and give you a better idea of what is going on. rim with and brand of tire could also effect the outcome to much.

Re: BDS lift kits?

I don`t think your truck sits lower. The gap in the wheel well should be smaller on your truck anyway.Your truck should sit 1" higher,if both tires are true diameters(33 vs 35).Yes,$300 is a great price for 4 spring packs alone.Pairs run right about $200 from any mfgr.Except custom, but that`s not manufacturing IMO.
