144 supercharger and lowered headers
Hi guys,
I am looking for some advice or suggestions. We just rebuilt the 4 bolt 350 and want some more power and ground clearance. Anyone know of where to look for the headers ( I have a man. 4 speed) that won't break the bank? Also I know about the superchargers but has anyone put one on a 68 350? Do the kits come with all the hookup components?? Need help and advice. It has not been a good week, some theif stole my 99 Hayabusa early Thurs. morning. The alarm sys is going on the chevy asap. Thanks, Mike.

Re: 144 supercharger and lowered headers
Summit has some decent priced headers. you can't go wrong with hooker or Hedman for the money.
Here's a link to some shorty's that should fit your truck, not sure about the 4 speed, but somebody else will probably weigh in on that Headers @ Summitracing.com

Re: 144 supercharger and lowered headers
I you want a full lenght header, the Hooker comps tuck up tighter to the frame than the Hedmans do. I run a Hooker comp(# 2452 painted), & they hang right about 2 " below the frame rails @ the collector. L

Re: 144 supercharger and lowered headers
The superchargers typically only come in 2 configurations......short or long waterpump styles. Kit comes with what you need to bolt the blower on.......manifold, blower, lower pulley, belt, and some hardware. You may need a diff thermostat housing.

Re: 144 supercharger and lowered headers
Yes the bike was stolen from the driveway, it was behind my sons monster truck and and My Expedition was parked up beside the bike. Couldn't be seen from the road. Only night it was left out, had to go to work @ 5 a.m. Some scuz had been watching for a while the cops think. Lojack and best alarm I can find is going on the 68. The bike had 37000+ miles but was in showroom condition. None of that extended crap either, I like the twisties. Looked stock except for some pretties on the outside. All the goodies were internal. One hobbie gone, so its time to devote all to the 68. Thanks for asking. Mike
