Re: Painted 2nd color on cab this morning

Looks good! I see you have a white roof so you will be using the chrome paint divider...how are you reattaching the little pins that hold it on? Reusing old pins or buying new? Do the new ones screw on or are they welded? Were the original ones welded on? Thanks for the help.

Re: Painted 2nd color on cab this morning

This truck did have a whit top originally but didn't come with the divider. I think I got the line straight enough to just color sand and buff the way it is.

Looks great! Are you using single stage or DS paint?

Re: Painted 2nd color on cab this morning

It's single stage. The color is not quite as light as it looks in the top pic, there is a 400 watt metal halide light right above the firewall.

Re: Painted 2nd color on cab this morning

Looks very good I like the color.I would suggest you find a driver since to finish it by the meet you will be working on it night and day.I still doubt you will make it since the quality of your work is so high.

The paint divider moulding deallys are a little stud thats welded to the cab. When you buy a new moulding it comes with clips only.I suppose you might be able to pop rivit the clips on?
