Oil Pressure Gauge Question

I am updating my truck from an idiot light dash cluster to a gauge package. I have everything done except the oil gauge. I have run the copper tube from the gauge out to the engine compartment, but I can't locate the port I need to connect to. Any help in locating it will be helpful!

I have a 350 short block in the truck, no air.

Top of engine behind intake manifold DS of distributor where your OP switch went: you'll need a pipe nipple and female NPT to compression fitting.

This may be sacrilege but I like having both idiot lights and gauges. I like knowing that if something starts to go wrong while I'm not looking at the gauges, the lights will remind me.

When I'm adding aftermarket gauges I install a nipple and tee where the oil pressure switch was, then screw the oil pressure switch into one side of the tee and connect the gauge line to the other.

My '68 C2500 came with gauges (crappy ones) instead of warning lights. I drilled a couple of holes in the instrument panel and installed generic red indicator lights from someplace like Radio Shack.

On a Jeep I have , I have both. The light is similar to like one of the shift lights that you see and mounts on thwe steering column. Off road you aren't able to watch gauges when it gets serious. I also run a line at the pump and one out the back of the galleys to monitor internal leak down. This is a good way to estimate wear and bearing clearances.
