spare tire size
my '68 Gmc 4x4 3/4 ton has a 15 inch spare. Was this common? I thought 3/4 tons were all 16 and 16.5.

Re: spare tire size
I wondered about that too. A long time ago, I bought a set of 15x8 aftermarket 8 lug white spokes from Dick Cepek. Didn't think any 3/4 tons came stock with 15" wheels.

Re: spare tire size
I honestly don't know if it is the stock wheel, but looks pretty original. I will get the tire size off of it and yes, it is a 15 inch 8 lug wheel with a very old tire on it.

Re: spare tire size
I don't know about '68 but I'm looking at the 1969 "Spare Wheel" option sheet and it shows only 16 and 16.5 options. Regular wheels same; 16 or 16.5".

Re: spare tire size
Well, the tire size says 7.00-15 Michelin. It is a split rim, too. Probably not original, but now I'm wondering what it came off of.
