possible to turn a regular bed into a wood bed?
i love the look of the wood beds. im gonna bag mine so im going to have to raise the bed floor up 3 or 4" so i dont have to cut it for the pumpkin but i really want to add the wood to the bed. is this possible?

Yes, You would have to change the front bed panel and would need the bed crossmembers for wood.

Raising the bed floor 3-4"would require welding an angle lip on the front bed panel and side panels 3-4" higher,fabricated crossmembers 3-4" taller, cut down or aftermarket wheel tubs and a fabricated rear sill 3-4" taller. Any good sheetmetal shop in your area can make the pieces for you. We have 1 set of 4" taller crossmembers and a rear sill in stock. Our rear sill is 1/4" forward at the top so you can notch the front of the bedwood to fit the front panel inset. We have done 4 trucks in the past year like this and they really catch attention at shows.

I have seen the lip that you can add to your existing front panel to convert it to Wood bed. I think Chevy Duty carries it.
