ORD Rear Shackles...

I bought the heavy duty 4.5" rear shackles from ORD for my 72 K20 project with stock springs. ORD says these are a 1/2" longer than the stock ones.
Here's my question, and it may be a dumb one, but I need verification...
Does this essentially mean I am lowering the rear of the truck by 1/2"??
Thanks

-Tim

Re: ORD Rear Shackles...

Yes, because their shackles are designed to work with a shckle flip kit. Which, if you had one, would raise your truck approx 5/16".
