Re: The new engine

Stock block/pistons, the heads were shaved .60 summit 280 cam and lifters holley intake, 670cfm holley street avenger carb. and bosch platinum +4 spark plugs. The pistons rods cranks and all the rod bearing and main bearing were brand new when i got the engine so i didnt bother it boring out the block .60 over like the heads.

Re: The new engine

And soon ill be running flowtech long tube headers with dual magnalfows coming out under the step of the bed. But i gotta get the engine running and everything so i can drive it to the muffler shop sense the piping is 2" and is hooked up to stock headers, it does have flowmaster so it wont sound bad on the way to the muffler shop lol.

Re: The new engine

I dunno they look just like polished but i tried on the shorties and i didnt like em the looked like a snug fit the longtubes like bend around abd back and should be perfect, and the turck is already dropped.

Re: The new engine

painting the entire engine black is generally a bad idea, can't find the oil leaks when they develop. I painted my block gloss black, but kept the heads and oil pan orange, looked like a nice combo to me. And what's the deal with the aerodynamics pic, what's that supposed to be and where you plan on putting it?

Re: The new engine

lmao dats a skate ramp...lol i thought sense these truck arent the best downforcers or good at aerodynamics...that it would be funny! And i painted the block blac so it matches with the engine bay....trust me the way the engine was built i failed if there is one little leak!! lol

Looking good. Defiantly should be alot more fun to drive. Sounds like you got everything squared away. Keep up the good work!
