I think the M/T's are pretty cool - especially the big block covers.
I've got 3 sets of bb and 2 sets of sb M/T covers and I'm always looking for more

I lost my M/Ts when my '67 got munched. that was a bummer. I had painted them black, carved off the "M/T" (replaced the letters with 327 decals), and scraped the black off/polished the tops of the fins.

This has nothing to do with anything but my dad was on Mickey Thompsons race crew in the early 60's . We used to get christmas cards from him when I was a kid. Then he and his wife got gunned down in their driveway.

I like the GM Performance parts aluminum valve covers for a BB short setup. Other than that, the tall plain aluminum ones are more my speed.

I had a set of the black MT small block covers on a Z28 I had way back when. They were the covers to have, along with the flat, perforated air cleaners. LOL. A buddy of mine has a set of the natural cast MTs on his big block, but he's going for the retro look so it fits. To me, they look dated and somewhat chintzy compared to the other covers on the market, but to each their own. The major gripe I have with the BB MTs is that they casted the Chevy logo backwards! The only place I've seen them for sale is at swap meets. Good luck.

They go for about $25 to $100 around here. There are still a ton of them out there. These are a little harder to find. Not many 427s out there. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...858783304&rd=1

I just got a set of new Mickey Thompson alum. finned big block covers off Ebay for $36 (including shipping). I might not be needing them. I have to see how they look on my Camaro. If I don't like I will post them on this board for sale.

Yeah, when I was littler, my dad had them on his Chevelles, bb and sb. My aunt has them on her olive green 4 door chevelle , nice! But I have a set of Aluminum valve covers on a 283 I have. But my favorite are the Chevrolet ones from GMPerformance Parts.

I haven't seen them in jegs, but I have seen them in Paw. Hell around here all I have to do is go look in peoples pastures, or in their hollers. But Im kinda partial to the Chevrolet valve covers, with the little bowties on them. And if you need a breather, you can just drill it and add a gromet. Does anyone like these? Can some people post some pics of their favorite?

I had a set on my '67 Corvette big block coupe. At one time everybody had them so there are lots of them around used.

I'm looking for a pair of Offenhauser valve covers for a small block. I have an Offy intake and I'd like things to match. Anyone have a pair under the workbench?

Tom

I like the M/Ts too, I just put a pair of black ones on mine a few weeks ago. I think holley is making them now, look at the valve cover section on their website.
