Like my new seat?

I sold my nice bench seat with the highbacks today, I went to put in one of my 2 stock (68 & 72) bench seats & not only do they not clear my amp& Cd changer, the bolt holes don't line up, so now I'm screwed, it never occured to me that the holes in the cab with welded on nuts from the bottom weren't in the stock locations, so now I have a brand new cheyenne seat cover with the scroll design, & 2 seats that I can't use. Can anyone tell me what the heck is going on? can you tell by these pic's if the welded bolts are stock or added on by the po? I thought they were stock since there is 4 mounting holes on each side (8 total) The front bolt holes are 50 5/8" wide, the rears are about 49 5/8" & from front to back the holes are 15" apart. Will a 88-94 seat bolt in? I don't have a welder so I'm looking for a seat that bolts right in.Any help/info would be greatly appreciated as now I'm screwed & the truck is undriveable without a seat.

Re: Like my new seat?

I dunno, but looks factory to me. How far off are the seats from lining up?

Looks factory to me too....

The amps could probably be moved, but the holes not lining up is a bigger problem.

And you can still drive it....just grab a milk crate or 5 gallon bucket

Let's see a pic of the seat, Mounting brackets and all.
Maybe that will help?

Re: Like my new seat?

my thought was if they are off just a little, the seat frame might be sprung, and just needs to conform.

Re: Like my new seat?

If they're only off a little, you should be able to tweak the brackets enough to line up.
your mounting holes look factory to me.

Re: Like my new seat?

You guys are are awsome, I love how when you get stumped on a problem with your truck, the great people on this board come to your rescue.

So......when I tried putting stock seat in, it sat on top of my amp & the cd changer, so to keep from scratching those components we had to set the seat down where it would rest on carpet, (me & the guy who bought my other seat) that's when it really looked like it would not line up, I guess I went into panic mode, I'm 20 minutes from home & I got nothing to sit on to drive home now, so now that I'm calmer, I went & measured the stock seat mounting holes, & what the heck? the holes were the same width now? So I am very sorry for being a freaked out Moron & posting this before I really doubled checked things, all I could think about is how much money I had tied up in 2 stock seats & a brand new black cheyenne cover & then I'm going to buy new foam blah, blah blah, Thank you guys very much, I really appreciate it.

Oh...70Bowtie the sub wall was made at a place in Portland called car toys, it holds 2 10" JL subs, & 2 6.5" MB Quarts.
