16" 6 Lug Rims - Question
I have a 72 Blazer that I'd like to put 16" rims on. I have a few questions on this:
1. I have a 69 2wd P/U with 16" rims. Is there any issue with the 2wd rims? Are the earlier rims narrower? Are there any drum vs disk brake issues with the 16" rims? What is the newest year rim that I can put on a 72 Blazer? Thanks! |

Re: 16" 6 Lug Rims - Question
I've seen people put late model rims on their blazers/4wd trucks but you may have to machine out the center for the hub.

Re: 16" 6 Lug Rims - Question
I have a 69 short bed 2x4 and it has the same pilot diameter as the 4x4. I think the original rims are identical on the 69 and my 72 JImmy.

Re: 16" 6 Lug Rims - Question
Hey Charlie, I do not think the 71 and earlier drum brake wheels are disc brake compatible as the caliper will bind.

Re: 16" 6 Lug Rims - Question
Thanks. I'll have to pull a rim off the parts truck and try it on the front of the Blazer just for kicks.
