questions about 454's

ok now i have had the truck the motor is in for 5 yrs i think..been a damned good motor,,has always started first time every time...i got a complete gasket set for it,,have had it for a coupel of yrs now..just never got around to pulling the motor to install it...

anyway,,i checked with napa, and can get a timeing set, (gears and chain) for 44.00.. is napa parts good..i cant afford to much money right now, but can spend a few more dollars if there is a better quality part availible..

also who makes a good rebuild kit for a stock qudrajet carb..might as well do that to,,it needs it..

will change cap, rotor button and wires and plugs to..easier to do it while out..
all the smog junk it taking a dive in the next load of scrap metal..will have to find a new A/C compressor since mine has a bearing going out of it..

will a 40 gallon suburban tank fit in a 1 ton dualy with out a major instalation problems. this is somethign i can do later on down the road..if i rember right the daully had a decent black paint job, hope its still in good shape, if so will put flames or somethign on it pretty quick, has been along time, but i think i can do it, still..lmao

this will be happeningin the next couple of months,,if i can sell the 84 i got with with out the motor, radiator and anythign else i need to install it into the 76 dually, then i could get ti done alot faster...

thanks in advance for any and all advice..
billy
