th400 passing gear

Im having problems with my kickdown cale the way it mounts and its always in the way and stuff...i have a th350. And i was wondering sense the th400 has the electronic kickdown/pasing gear can i put that in my th350...it would make things a lot easier!

Re: th400 passing gear

You could theoretically mount an electronic solenoid to the the side of the tranmission to operate the kickdown mechanism, then use a slide switch on the throttle cable to activate the solenoid.

but why? The kickdown cable is a fairly simple ordeal.

Re: th400 passing gear

lose the kickdown cable (tie it out of the way), downshift manually I still have the cable in my tranny, yet I've hidden it so well you have to really look for it to see it - I got me a B&M slapstick, I don't need no kickdown.
