Re: Gave the ole 1 ton an ALTITUDE!! adjustment

Lift is a 4" Skyjacker, rear upper spring hangers were replaced with much larger bushings along with ORD greasable shackles. Lift comes out tp be a little over 5 inchs. I rebuilt a Dana 60 and did a high steer crossover on it along with Earls brake lines.
Rear has new Eaton 7 leaf springs and new GM shackles, I also converted to 13 inch drums using all new take off backing plates, drums, hardware and shoes. Converted it to a u bolts up drsign using new GM spring plates for a 73 up truck and went with 5/8 " u bolts instead of the factory 1/2" units.
Covered up the previous owners painted on bowties with factory badges and slapped on some cab lights..oh yes, cant forget the 72 style hooks to make it complete.

I agree that those wheels and lift make a big difference. At first glance I didn't like it and thought it looked funky, but with those wheels and lift, it really looks much better!

I normally don't comment on 4WD trucks, but I have to say that is a BEAUTY!!!

Totally changed the looks of it with the wheels and lift.

Good Work my man, Good Work!

I agree it has a certain funkiness to it, mainly from the sliding camper window they used, hopefully I can find something to replace it that sits more flush..thats the next project.
