A/C Choice
Okay,
I know that the topic of A/C have been posted already, but what I want to know is Which one do I buy? Vintage? Old Air? There is also a company in Tampa, Florida that says they have the best for really hot weather. Classic Auto Air. They have units listed on ebay. Has anyone ever heard of them? Let me hear it 67-72chevytrucks! Which should I buy? Keith |

Re: A/C Choice
I really LOVE my vintage air unit. I have to turn it down after about 10 minutes. Make sure you have a good 4 core radiator and a good clutch fan, or electric fans! My truck is currently running a little hot, but I've got a 7 blade clutch fan on the way, if that doesn't fix it, I'm going electric!
I also had to add several hundred dollars to the cost of my kit. I had my system purged (sucked out) by a shop plus the cost of the R-134A, belts, etc. I also had to buy several tools. I bought a dremel to cut out the center vent and a couple hole saw bits ( $25 for two of 'em at lowes!) I also swapped to a short water pump and had to put my alternator on the DS. If I EVER get some free time I'm going to do a complete write up on the install, I have like 150 pictures I work so friggin much, that's where I am now... sigh... 14 hour days....
