Take them silly looking wheels off of the red truck and you'd have a fine lookin ride there.

Maybe i'm just gettin' old but i just don't get that look
It's just too cartoonish lookin' for me.

Re: another "donk" -ster

First of all a donk is a nickname term for a 1971 to 1976 chevrolet caprice or impala not a truck. I'm pretty sure these guys took as much pride as the next man in fixing there trucks up. One person might like a there truck dropped 7 inches to ground another might like there truck 7 inches high in the air. I don't think they have to be donked in the head. It's seems alot of people on this board have a problem with these trucks when there fixed up with big rims on them. What's and different when a truck is jacked up 7 inches and some swamper tires are put on it. Then the truck is sweet right. This is just my 2 cents. This is a forum so everybody is entitled to there opinions.

Re: another "donk" -ster

I must be old school but I feel weird with the 20s on the back of my truck, Why go thta big, I saw all of those at SEMA last year and the best part was the women that were hanging out around them, the wheels, not so impressive.

ya, that's been common knowledge for quite some time.
Donk has just about turned into a verb nowadays, in case you were confused.

Re: another "donk" -ster

times are always changing... look at the good side...least a new geration of 73-87 fans are already around... but to me it looks tacky, sometimes they actually have to RAISE the truck to fit 26's

18-22's c-notch/air-ride= thumbs up.

i agree with grinch............i remember other fads in customizing that some thought looked stupid.some stuck around, most didn't.those guys are doin it their way.kinda admire the fact they(donksters) don't really care what others think.but, were entitled to our opinion.and i,think its uglier than hell.

Yup - that would be sweet!

Personally I don't care for the look AT ALL, but I understand that each person here has different tastes and interests. I've long ago realized not everyone has my (excellent) taste...

Bottom line - it's a BOWTIE and we can all agree that that's SWEET!

Re: another "donk" -ster

Everybody has there own taste. I appericiate all trucks (as long as it's a Chevy HA HA). I'm pretty sure when they first starting dropping these truck alot of people didn't like it. Now look there business out there that make parts just for dropping these trucks. It goes to show you everybody has there on personal touch when there fixing there truck. What i do to might truck somebody else might do to there truck. Who im i to talk down on his truck. He took as much pride and hard work fixing his truck as i took in fixing mine.
