Rally Wheels Original to '72?

Been perusing the site some...searching for info on bumpers and wheels.

Lot's of good information, but I think I saw some argument over whether or not the '72 came with Rally Wheels.

Our old truck has them but since we bought the truck I've looked at several other later model trucks that also have them.

Also...the trim rings on ours seems too wide.

Can you guys check out these wheels for me and let me know if they're original to this '72?

I also saw some comments about factory sliding rear windows. Till then I thought mine was an after market unit. Comments on the sliding window? Factory? Aftermarket?

Re: Rally Wheels Original to '72?

Rallys never came on the 67-72 trucks.

Supposedly the sliders were an option, but dealer installed, not factory (that has become my understanding based on other posts?)

Yeah, there was a CB antenae on there. That big black rubber thing is a plug from a truck stop.

Thanks for the info on the wheels. I'm glad to know that because I want some aftermarket wheels and I hated to drop the rallys if they were stock.

Re: Rally Wheels Original to '72?

I've seen slider windows listed on the SPID, so it was at one point or another, a factory assembly line option.

Re: Rally Wheels Original to '72?

What WAS the first year for rallys? I'm thinking it wasn't '73 either. Was it '77- which was the first year for PW/ PL?

We`re talking about truck, right?I believe it was`75 or`76.It was when they changed the hubcap style.

Re: Rally Wheels Original to '72?

Rally wheels were NOT original on 67-72 chevy trucks.
Sliding rear windows were a factory option, I have many examples of them on SPID labels.
