1970 Chevy C-10 lower control arm shaft & bushing replacement?
I bought 2 lower control arm kits from Oriely's and would like some advice on how Best to replace them, especially since you have to work around the coil springs. Pre-shate the info. 1970 C-10 LWB, Dane

Re: 1970 Chevy C-10 lower control arm shaft & bushing replacement?
I hate to say it, but I really think it is easier to do if you take them off. I recall that they have to be driven out of the control arms, also called A-frames.
The new ones have to be driven into place. It's a good time to check your control arm shafts and replace them if necessary. What about your ball joints? Never a better time. This job is like chewing a piece of cheap beef...it just gets bigger and bigger before it goes away....if you don't spit it out!!
