72 4x4 suspension bolts source
I'm installing a 4" suspension kit on my 72 SWB 4x4. It's the first time the rear shackle bolts and leaf spring eye bolts had been removed. So, I boggered them up pretty good.
I've been looking around here in Fredericksburg, Va. and cannot find a source. Can anyone help with a source? Does GM still sell them? Thanks in advance. Gary |

Re: 72 4x4 suspension bolts source
I just used 9/16" Grade 8 bolts and locknuts for my 68. I think I needed 4 ea of 5" and 2 ea of 4.5" but i'm not sure if yours are the same.

Re: 72 4x4 suspension bolts source
I got mine from these guys in VA, but any automotive spring shop should have them.

Re: 72 4x4 suspension bolts source
Thanks Guys for the help.
I was thinking I could use grade 8 rather than the case hardened I removed. But I dont know the real difference. I did try Lanes, but I asked for case hardened. If grade 8 is ok the think my search will be easier. Gary |

Re: 72 4x4 suspension bolts source
I hope grade 8's are ok.... I don't plan on any hard core towing or loading hauling. I wish TSC carried 9/16's cause it would have saved a little money. They only have 1/2 and 5/8 in the bulk bins so I had to go to a machine shop to get mine. Lowes has them but at $4 per bolt I passed....
