Project Father/Son
Well I'm going to try my hand at a build thread.I know I should have done a in progress thread but, too late now! So here we go.We bought my son a 72 LWB when he turned 16.He drove it for awhile while we worked on it on the weekends. Then we torn it apart. Here's a run down on what we did.Shaved antenna, cowl hood, one piece windows, shaved stake pockets, blazer tank with sidemarker fill, power door locks, alarm w/starter kill,1000 watt amp with 10" subs under the seat, relocated the tailgate handle, sprayed bedliner inside of the cab floor & back of cab, replaced a fender tip,cab corner, had some rather nasty windshield rust, spray in bed liner, new side moldings, mirrors, door handles, rear glass, front & rear bumpers, basically everything on the outside but the lock cylinders & rear window is new.I tell you it was worth EVERY second we spent on it.Besides spending almost every weekend together having fun & hopefully teaching him some stuff, it kept us both off the streets & out of trouble. Now the best part.I got to spend his money for once!!!He worked to earn every penny we spent on it.The draw back is now he's moved out into his own house(just turned 18) & I can't just sit & admire it.
Here's some pics.
