Question Need a little help.....

I have a 70 C10 (2wd) that has the m20 trans (4 spd)
I want to use a th350 a buddy has. His is a 4x4 truck. He said all we have to do is swap over the tail shaft housing off of the m20 and it will all bolt up.
I believe that its going to require a lot more than that!
I know of f*rds you can swap a 2wd and 4wd just by swaping the transfer case and tail shaft housing.
I've searched the forum and have found similar responses, but he insists that this trans will bolt up using the m20 parts.

Does any one know if just swaping the tail shaft housings will work, or do I need to tear the whole thing down and replace the shaft?

Thanks!

Re: Need a little help.....

You are right on, you need to tear the 350 turbo down & replace the shaft to run in the 2wd truck. No way inHE!! will the Muncie parts fit the auto trans!..... L
