Dropped truck pics

Does anyone have pics of a truck with a 2-1/2 & 4 drop? Thinking about doing mine but would like to see the stance in real life. Looking at dropped spindles on the front and springs for the back. No air bags here. Need to see how low this actually sits for these Saskatchewan roads! Thanks!

Re: Dropped truck pics

Here's a lwb with a 2-4 drop

And a 2.5-5 drop

Hopefully I got the drop heights correct...2-4 should have no problems, even for our crappy roads. Hope its Ok with everyone to use these pics..I am sure they are both board members rides.

Re: Dropped truck pics

You`ll be alright with a 2.5/4 drop. That`s medium range (a good comprimise) and you`ll have stock front springs.Just use 4" rearsprings, they are designed to ride that height.

Re: Dropped truck pics

www.earlyclassic.com has a website that shows the truck with stock height, 2.5/4-inch drop and a 3.5/6-inch drop, all done on the same truck so you can see the difference.

I have the Early Classic parts on my truck and I love it. Rides good. Handle good. Handles the loads, too. My truck has coil springs, and it may make for a better finished product than a leaf sprung truck. My '96 has leaves and it doesn't ride nearly as comfortably.

I agree - there are plenty of trucks at that ride height running around with no issues. Just use a quality kit designed for your rig

Where are you in Saskatchewan? What size tires are you planning to run ? If you use the normal 235/75R15 tire which is 28.86 inches high you wont have any problems. If you go to a 25 or 26 inch tire like I've seen on some lowered trucks around Saskatoon you could have issues if you drive our Sask grid roads. Have you considered a front sway bar for your truck? It will make a huge difference in the handling of your truck.

I am from Kinistino. I actually saw your truck at the show in Melfort. As far as tire size, I won't be making any radical changes.

How much clearance do you have between the headers and the ground?

I'm usually on the 60-66 board, but here's a pic of my buddy's '72 with I believe a 2"-4" drop ( drop coils all the way around)...

Re: Dropped truck pics

Shaunavon is far enough south to still be good travelling. For a real thrill try hwy 571 (I think) that branches off 41 north and leads to Alsask...once you cross the welcome to Sask sign, better use both sides of the road! Try it for fun and adventure!

Re: Dropped truck pics

I did the ECE 2.5" Drop spindles and the 4" drop springs in the rear... I love it! The tires are 275R60/15 at all corners.

Before and After shots.
