muncie in a AD truck
dude's, does anyone have a mucie 4-speed in a AD series truck behind a 235? was it a bolt in deal. thanks

idk if this helps but i put a 77 monza 5 speed tranny behind my 235. it originally had a 3-speed. the input shafts were the same( 10-spline i think). all i did was remove the 4 bolts that hold the tranny to the bellhousing and put the new tranny in. it wasnt hard. i also made sure my throwout bearing was the same size as my shaft( it was). But i had to modify my shifter to still be able to use my bench seat.
ps ive heard pre-55 bellhousings are different but i dont know how, i know they use a different flywheel, but idk if theres anything else. |

The only difference in flywheels is the starter teeth. Patricks sells a kit that comes with a shifter, linkages, ect, to put a saginaw in these trucks, both with and without a torque tube.
