Re: rare fleetside/stepside
72 Gmc Longbed Fleetside stepside...Rare truck !!! runs good, uses a little oil. all stock. interior is in great shape except the steering wheel! would like to trade for ext. cab mini or small suv..no cars...any questions call 615.785.7600...leave message if no answer or email 'preyemer@aol' ...would really rather trade than sell but will sell for the right price !!!
Comment Date: Thu July 12, 2007 how is it a fleetside and a stepside? Comment Date: Fri July 13, 2007 there's a step that's set into the bed in front of the wheel on both sides...therefore it's a fleetside/stepside and why it's rare.... Comment Date: Fri July 20, 2007 ts not rare, that was the factory tool box, your just missing the doors

There was in some cases tool boxes in the bed.I consider them rare. You dont see many and the doors are pricey. Last edited by 1969k10stepside; 07-19-2007 at 08:38 PM. |

Re: rare fleetside/stepside
You can see it on the driver side. He is talking about the dealer add ons that is the little half moon cutout that is below the bottom trim.... It is a little cast iron (pot metal?) step that screws onto the sheetmetal....

Re: rare fleetside/stepside
Those steps were part of the rare "Rancher Special" package which also included a horse hood ornament.
