Window lubrication?

Does this channel need to be lubricated with grease? When I pulled the window out to replace the regulator, the channel had some well worn grease on it, but the rollers on the regulator are nylon. Not sure to grease or not.

Re: Window lubrication?

Grease it. They really should be greased every few years but most, including me, dont do it. I have used chasis grease, lithium grease ( the best choice) and wheel bearing grease. Like I said lithium grease seems to do the best. But most of the time I use whatever I have lying around.

Re: Window lubrication?

I grease mine when I put them in and if I remember whenever I have the doorpanel off.Seems to make the window easier to roll up and down.If it affects the nylon I've never noticed.I also spray the window run channel with silicone.I do that whenever the window gets a little stiff. Also grease the sissors of the regulator.
