My Pickup is BACK on the road..- Big upgrades are done!
Guys and Gals,
As of 7pm tonight, MY TRUCK IS BACK ON THE ROAD. I've completed the power brake upgrade, installed the new power steering pump (BIG DIFFERENCE & NO LEAKS). I've installed my new stereo (kenwood), my new 6 CD changer (in glove box). I installed a new Seat Cover (Leather with Custom look). New seatbelts (3 instead of the stock 2). I put my new chrome (from king parts) bumpers front and rear and window shade vents also from king. I also built a hinged plywood bed cover and installed it with vinyl top. The truck also now has a spare tire in the bed (i need to install it underneath) My truck looks GREAT and runs even better. Thanks so much for your advice and support these past 3 months. The only thing remaining is that the brakes are a little tight (i'll try the backup trick tommorrow) and i need to get the spare mounted underneath. (Should I buy a kit? or build one?) Thanks again for everything! Brian |

Congrats! Fun to get it back on the road, huh?
Can you tell us about the power steering change? I've wondered if there's a big difference between the stock ones in '72 and newer ones. There's a different feel to the whole thing. Is yours stock or upgrade and, if so, details please. It would also be cool to see some pictures.
