Re: drop springs help please!!!!!
i dropped my 67 3/5. it is a good idea to run a shorter shock on all corners but . i guess it wouldnt be needed. the stock shock might just run out of travel . and for the 5 inch rear drop. you wont need a c-notch , or change your panhard bar. but anything lower and you might have problems. im thinking that 6 inches in the rear would kick your rearend over and you would have to get an adjustable pan hard bar.< this might apply for springs and blocks also. ?

Re: drop springs help please!!!!!
Most of the members here will recommend a 2 in spring max in front due to the shim stack needed to get the truck aligned after dropping.IIRC using blocks in the rear will affect the panhard less than springs would.i.e.3 in springs and 2 in blocks= no new panhard.

Re: drop springs help please!!!!!
every inch you lower the rear it moves the rear off center!! it doesnt start at 4 or 5 inches its pretty noticable after 3" and for the rear again every little bit you lower it you start to lose the shock angle therefore the effectiveness of the shock is lost anything more than 3" drop in the rear i relocate the shorter shocks and center the rear with an adjustable panhard bar // i've seen guys with 4-5inch drops run the stock panhard but with wider wheels it just starts to look pretty goofy offcentered like that

Re: drop springs help please!!!!!
weather dropping by blocks or springs in the back its plain and simple the closer you move the axel nearer to the frame rail the more the rear is kicked over off center requireing an adjustable panhard bar// the laws of physics are not suspended due to the use of dropping blocks
