upper ball joint for a 1972 suburban
Hey all,
A friend of mine needs new upper ball joints for his 1972 suburban. He recently ( within the past 5K miles) rebuilt the entire front suspension with a rebuilt kit from LMC and the upper ball joints are shot! They have more play in them then the originals that he removed - which probably had 200K + miles on them. The truck is stock height and is used as a daily driver / work truck. Now looking to use MOOG replacement parts available locally - only issue is that they are $74.00 apiece. What, if any difference is there with the 72 ball joints to the 73 + ball joint which cost half the amount? Any vendors that offer these for any less? Any suggestions or help is as always appreciated. Thanks, Pete

1/2 ton truck right? If you swap the spindles & outer tierod ends, you can use the 73+ upper balljoints. L
