E-Brake Cables on Suburban

87 Suburban 1/2 ton

I am in the process of swapping out my 10 bolt 3.73 rear end for a 14 bolt 4.10 (late 70s, I think). Anyone know a good way to get the e-brake to work. I thought I had a good idea when I ordered the back cables to fit the 14 bolt back plate but I can't figure out how to get it rigged right. Here's photos of the new cable on the back plate, my ferrule idea and the existing rigging for the 1/2 ton. I'm hoping someone has done this before. The only thing I can think of to do now is get the entire setup from a wrecked Suburban. Thanks.
