Rust Question?? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

This is probably a common problem, I have just not had to face it before. In the front wheel well, behind the front tires, is what looks like an inspection plate with 3 bolts (and some spot welds) keeping them in place. Mine have rusted through.

I thought it would just be a matter of unbolting them and replacing with some good ones from the yard or parts dept. But the spot welds had kept me from getting them off without messing them up pretty good.

What is the recommended fix?
