Question clutch pedal stroke length

I was wondering if there is any way to make my clutch pedal not come out so far. Right now my knee pushes against the steering wheel when I release the clutch and my seat is all the way back (I'm also not a very large guy). I'm thinking other people *must* have done this.

I would like to move the fully released position back a couple inches. I am new to this stuff, so please forgive me if this is ridiculously easy. A smaller steering wheel would help, but I don't want to do that until I do the power steering conversion... that's a topic for another day.

From underneath the truck, you can "shorten" the clutch linkage rod, and that will have the effect you want. But, be carefull, as the clutch throw is touchy. Also, you might check and make sure the rubber clutch pedal stop is still in place, as that stops the pedal from traveling upward so far.

Make sure the rubber bump stop is not flattened. I would not use the push rod to adjust the pedal position, this changes the geometry of the linkage and will change the release pressure application. It is a truck and you'll just have to deal with it to some degree.
